The Foundation
Triviale is a digital companion for the traditional pub quiz. It is designed to facilitate social interaction by keeping the focal point on the shared environment and the big screen, rather than on individual mobile devices.
Unlike rapid-fire games, Triviale is stream-based. It handles sequential questions and free-form text input, supporting the depth and variety typical of professional quiz sets.
Participation
Each team is represented by a single device, held by the Captain. This constraint is intended to encourage physical collaboration among teammates.
- 01. Join the session using the unique code provided by the host.
- 02. Observe questions on the big screen and submit answers via the team device.
- 03. Utilize a Wild Card once per session to double the score for a chosen round.
Hosting
The host directs the evening from the Host Stand, controlling slide progression, timers, and the grading process.
- 01. Initialize sessions by uploading a valid .triv quiz pack.
- 02. Employ "Bucket Grading" to group and evaluate similar answers efficiently.
- 03. Direct the big screen reveal of answers and current standings.
Registry & Privacy
Host profiles are secured via a "Secret Key" model. No passwords or centralized email databases are maintained. A host retains their key to restore their branding assets and session preferences.
To maintain system hygiene, profiles that remain inactive for more than 180 days are subject to automated deletion.
